My Vintage Tree

This is the tree in my office

At night

During the day

Unadorned it is quite the pathetic tree

But by looking closely you can see its beauty

It is filled with vintage ornaments

Gifted to me by my in-laws

The more worn they look

The more beauty I see

I wrap the gifts while gazing upon this tree

And it makes the task pleasurable

Bottle Brush Trees

I love all Christmas trees!

These bottle brush trees were my craft from last year
and really are eye catchers

They range from 12 - 16 inches
and sit on my sofa table

The trees came with glitter on the tips

I hot glued the colorful glass ornaments onto the trees

Then added foil stars to the top

Quite the easy craft!

More Signs of Christmas on the Beach

This fun tree is on the beach at the Mucky Duck on Captiva Island, Florida

Good food (try the duck fingers and/or crunchy grouper) , live entertainment and plenty of good cheer!

They aren't singing Christmas carols yet...

They do offer Christmas souvenirs this time of year

But I spent my discretionary funds on Etsy

Christmas pillows coming!

Remember These Christmas Trees?

I only have a vague recollection of aluminum Christmas trees with a rotating color wheel but I remember wanting one as a very small child.  The colors fascinated me and left a life-long impression.

And now what was old is new again!   I can buy one brand new!

Though I probably wouldn't with ebay and all.

I asked my hubby if he would mind if I displayed one in our home.

Much to my surprise (he rarely denies me something I REALLY want),  I got an emphatic NO.

And that was enough. I'll just make myself happy admiring them on Pinterest
